Day 5: Film with Great Editing
My choice has to be the immaculately, neatly assembled “Welcome, Or No
Trespassing” or Добро пожаловать, или Посторонним вход воспрещён (1964) by
Elem Klimov - with fast sweeping tableau shots, beautifully constructed scenes,
and moments swinging between light satirical spectacle and clear-eyed escapist
fantasy :’) Xo
